Congratulations on passing your recent Microsoft Certification exam, inspiring confidence for your employer, your peers, and yourself with a widely-recognized validation of your skills on Microsoft technology.

Because I haven’t done any exam since Windows Internals beta I assumed that I passed it and I was right! After registering at Microsoft certification site as MCP I was able to build my logo:

Congratulations! I took my exam in Boston around the same time you did, and took a train and a trolley to the test center. I got the same email you did around midnight EST Friday so I passed too!

  2. Dmitry Vostokov Says:

Congratulations to you too, David! You ‘will “!analyze –v” for food!’ like you said on your blog but I’ve just realized that I’ve been doing that for 5 years! :-)

[…] was surprised when I found on Microsoft MCP site that I can print my certificate for Windows Internals exam. Here it […]

  4. Kris Says:

Congratulations, could you tell me how do you prepare for this exam (books, etc.). I don’t know where to start…

  5. Dmitry Vostokov Says:

Windows Internals book I can recommend or wait for my books Windows Internals Distilled and Windows Debugging Notebook which should be published next year. Note: the last two books were not designed specifically for exam but discuss and provide an overview of many topics from the exam curriculum.

  6. Kris Says:

Current release of Windows Internals book (4th edition) concern Windows 2000/XP/2003, but exam is about Windows Vista, so 4th edition is enough?
Maybe “Advanced Windows Debugging”, but only one chapter about vista.
I don’t have a lot of experience with vista and I want to prepare a plan for learning. When your books will be released?
